The "Common Sense" Candidate - Jim Crawford
Someone asked me how I came by this nickname. Actually a friend of mine gave it to me in a conversion one day. As we were talking, they said my positions, "sounded like they were just good 'ol common sense, and that's exactly what we need in politics today!"
I will represent those of us from Charles County in Annapolis with a "good 'ol common sense approach." That means, if it is right for Charles County, I'll be for it, and if it isn't, I'll fight it. My vote is never for sale to the likes of those who give candidates huge campaign contributions, whether individuals, PACs or special interest groups. I want to hear what you have to say, not what they have to say. I will vote the way Charles Countians want me to vote, not the way the party political bosses or big contributors push.
Sure, my opponents will outspend me with their big buck contributors, but when I go to Annapolis I won't have any "political debts" to pay. I'll be free to vote right every time - and I will. Money doesn't vote, people vote. That's the reason your vote is so important!
Chances are, I'll vote the way you would if you had to. That's because I WILL ALWAYS PUT PRINCIPLES OVER POLITICS - Period
You have my word. And I'll keep this web page updated so you can hold me accountable - (a promise no other candidate has made). Fair enough?
Obviously campaigns are
costly. I sincerely appreciate any and all kinds of help from supporters. I ask
you to consider volunteering to support or help in any way you feel led. (See Home
for contact info.)
* Mostly we need bumper stickers on vehicles, sign locations, volunteers for
polls, and contributions for mailings and printing. But at least pass the
word to vote for Jim Crawford. Word-of-mouth is very effective. You have
influence with more people than you realize.
