Jim Crawford

Since moving my business to Charles County in 1974 and making our home in Bryantown in 1978, I have made some of my most worthwhile accomplishments right here, such as:

>         Only in my 30's, I was CEO of the second largest organic food distributor in the nation.
 >        I earned one of the very first Certified Microsoft Sales Specialist degrees in the country.
>         I taught courses on computer security to CPAs, attorneys, and bankers.
>         For 15 years I've been a sports official. As a soccer referee, I do college level and was even qualified to do professional matches.
>         Organizing the United Way of Charles County and watching it grow and help so many  agencies and people.
>        Creating the very successful VICS program whereby the courts can give minor offenders a community service option in lieu of fines (an achievement that earned me Kiwanian-of-the-Year award).
>        Serving as the Executive Director of the Southern Maryland region’s Y2K readiness program.
>         Designing and teaching tech courses at the College of Southern Maryland in La Plata.
>         While President of the Tri-County Youth Services Bureau, I oversaw its expansion of the Lexington Park facility and building of the new Waldorf office.
>     I had the first certified organic farm in Charles County at a time when organic farming was only just beginning.
