RACISM

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."

-- Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. August 28, 1963 from the Lincoln Memorial.

"You shall not wrong an alien, or be hard upon him; you were yourselves aliens in Egypt."

-- Exodus 22:21

CFMC opposes racism in all forms and calls on all Americans, of all races, to reject such bigotry. The United States of America was built from a multitude of foreign and native peoples to be One Nation Under God. As all human dignity is based on being created in God’s image (Genesis 2)… CFMC believes racial tensions would ease if all practiced two simple rules: "Love the Lord God with all your heart, soul and mind," and "Love your neighbor as yourself," in a context of mutual courtesy, patience and kindness absent of racial self pity (i.e., arrogance).

Although there has been some progress in racial reconciliation since the 1960s, there are still serious, lingering examples of racial division within the U.S. Such examples include the arson attacks that destroyed several black church in the South. Many of church's charred remains revealed spray-painted, racist graffiti. After one church burning, a racist letter was circulated promising that if interracial relationships continued, white supremacists would embark on a reign of terror.

In July of 1999, authorities charged four white youths in the death of a young Native American named Robert Many Horses. Two months later, police charged three young Native Americans in the brutal beating of a white man named Brad Young. Newspapers coast-to-coast covered the Brad Young story as a "hate crime". The governor of South Dakota issued a statement lamenting the fate of Young but did not mention Many Horses. The governor’s press secretary stated, "We didn’t get any media calls on the other one." One can’t help but note the disparity between the how the two cases were handled.

Some people are equating traditional morality with racism. Homosexual activists claim enforcement of hate crime laws, and forced tolerance of homosexual behaviors are a must. If you don’t subscribe you risk being labeled a bigot or homophic. Many are deeply offended at the suggestion that opposition to wrong behaviors such as sodomy is morally equivalent to racism. One such person offended was Gen. Colin Powell who stated, "Skin color is a benign characteristic. Sexual orientation is perhaps the most profound of human behavioral characteristics. Comparison of the two is a convenient but invalid argument."

The number of abortions in the black community is disproportionately high. Historically, civil rights have meant equal opportunity for minorities in occupation, education, housing and politics (i.e., voting), but this is changing to include the unborn.

Rev. Johnny Hunter is the national director of the Life, Education and Resource Network, the largest black pro-life ministry. Rev Hunter has exposed Planned Parenthood for what it is.

Unknown to many blacks, Margaret Sanger, Planned Parenthood’s founder, instituted the ‘Negro Project.’ This was the eugenic plan to exterminate—or limit—the population of blacks and other "inferior" human groups. "We have become victims of genocide by our own hands," said Rev. Hunter, who described Margaret Sanger and the roots of the abortion industry as a wake-up call to the black community. He said that black Americans have bought into the Planned Parenthood lie that says the fetus is "a mass of tissue," thereby denying its personhood and making its killing acceptable. Rev. Hunter urged blacks to boycott the abortion industry, saying that one-third of its income could be removed if blacks stopped aborting their babies.

Slowly we are learning. Around the country, school boards are expanding the boundaries of religious expression in recognition of students’ First Amendment rights. The 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals affirmed the right of students to pray over the school public address system and at public school ceremonies ending years of religious bigotry. Around the Nation hate bias crime is going down. Living standards and educational opportunities for all minorities are up, race relation are being highlighted and addressed by several ministries and programs and racial reconciliation is at the forefront for several Church outreach programs.

CFMC believes that social problems chronically attributed to racial "causes" can be solved. By applying basic Biblical principles, passing common sense laws, striving for excellence in education, practicing a godly faith, and excellence in demonstrating honest ability and in living the fruitful wisdom that brings peaceful harmony instead of interracial division and strife.

"Everyone who has faith in Him will be saved from shame’ – everyone: there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, because the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich enough for the need of all who invoke him."

- Romans 10:11-12
